A look into my life as a builder with Lego, and how Lego has helped me build the flip side of my life.

Sorry!

I'm sorry for the holdup with my blog!!! I have created a new blog, called "The Secrets of the Brick", which can be viewed at thesecretsofthebrick.wordpress.com.
Well, I make have to make posts less frequently than once a day. Maybe once every two days.

New Records, New Pages, and New Architecture!!!

Well, I still have many new updates for you all, that will benefit you and just help you enjoy this blog. I have added two new pages to my sidebar. Right under "Home", which is what page you're on now, are two new pages: "About Me!!!", and "My Lego Creations!!!". Both of these should give you all something else to read, and I should be adding more pages soon!
I also set a record yesterday for how many views I've had in one day. Since yesterday's post, it has gone up from 45 views to 68 in one day! That is very good for this blog. I'm hoping that my editing to make this blog more interesting, my more frequent posts, and my new possibility to share, to the right here, -----> is helping me get more views.
Also, Lego has released two new sets in their Architecture theme! They are sets #21009 Farnsworth House, and set #21008 Burj Khalifa. I think that The Lego Group has done a fantastic job on these models. They can be viewed, as well as the rest of Lego's Architecture line, here.
I want comments on how the new updates are!

New Records and Pages, plus news!!!!!

     News!!!!!!!
I have reached my record amount of views in one day on my blog. 45 views! I have it set where it won't track my own views.
Most of you are thinking, wow, that's practically none at all. Well, you're right, it is practically none at all. But I'm happy with it.
I  have also formed a new page, an about me one, which can be viewed on the side, over there, to the right, thing.
Also, if you have a Twitter or Facebook, you can share by clicking up top, to the right, under "Share It".
I also have a search box now, so you can search some topics you like.
I will be posting a new creation on July 2nd, so keep your eyes open for that!
I have submitted this blog to the "Brother's Brick", so this blog might be posted on their site under "Lego Blogs in English".
So, that's all the news I have. I hope you enjoy the new setup of my blog!!!

The LOTR 3 Contest Is Here: And I'm Competing!

I have exciting news for all of you people who are Lego builders out there. The Lord of the Rings: Return of the Kings competition, hosted by Ian Spacek, is here! The competition is played out by building a LOTR creation and posting to the group for the contest. It has to be done on an 8x8 baseplate and there can be no stud overhang.
I have already built my MOC for the contest, but it will receive third place at best. It's not very good, and I'm even considering taking it apart and making another one. It will be posted on July 2nd, the day that the contest starts.
But this is a milestone for me, my first contest!!!! I hope it gets third!!!!!
On another, more sad note, I went to look at Tennessee Lugnet today(that is a site where people talk about building and upcoming conventions), and no one has posted a comment in FOUR YEARS. So there goes me being active in Tennessee Lugnet.
I suppose I have enough on my hands, given managing two blogs, a MocPages account, building for contests, and just living my life. I am such a nerd.
Well, hopefully tomorrow I will have something more interesting to talk about.
     Bye!!!!!!!!

*Squawk* Dont Eat Me!!!

     It's time for another post!
I was supposed to post this tomorrow, but I simply couldn't control myself.
You might also notice I'm writing these sentences in paragraphs, so, there.
You're asking why I'm doing this?
     Because I'm crazy.
Anyway, I made a model a few days ago about a scene in Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man's Chest. It is where a poor Will stumbles upon a parrot in a jungle, where he is looking for his friends so he can steal their most treasured possessions.
Will smiles at it. "Ah, a familiar face!"
The parrot squawks "Don't eat me!"
"I'm not going to eat you," Will lies easily.

It's kind of a simple scene, really. Just Will talking to a parrot in a dense jungle. So yeah.

A simple view of the back of Will and the model. I made the trees so you know that they are there, but I don't have the pieces to cover them with palm branches and even if I did, you wouldn't be able to see the scene. They're taller than that, anyway.
My favorite part of this scene is the foliage on the ground. I tried to make it as thick as possible, and I think it turned out pretty well.
It turns out that the Island De Pelegostos set is one of my favorites! I like the dead looking palm branches! You can see a way I have used this piece if you scroll past this next picture, pass the hideous pictures of that strange vehicle, and then there it is.

A basic shot of Will. He is my favorite minifig in the Pirates of the Caribbean line so far.
So that winds up this blog post. I hope you like this creation. Most likely, more POTC to come!!!!!

My ABSOLUTELY HORRIBLE Power Functions Vehicle!!!!!

Well, I thought I knew how to build with Power Functions. I was introduced to Power Functions through a gift at Christmas, the motor set with lights, switches, and a m-motor, along with a battery box, of course. Most of you know it as the Lego Power Functions Motor Set, #8293.
Well, after a few hours of overall frustration, I made this ugly thing:

It's HIDEOUS! My blood curls just thinking about this thing. It only runs about a half of a mile per-hour and breaks easily.

"You said we were supposed to go this way..............."

Ah, well. At least they're not being chased by a hoard of angry mummies on a motorcycle that want their golden Crystal of the Beasts back that the guy in the white shirt on the left seems to have stolen.

Things could be worse.
I am trying to draw traffic to this blog, but I'm failing miserably. It might be that I'm posting such ugly and useless stuff as this.
